PREOP EVALUATION

• Clinic Visit
• Need CT or MRI <1 month, or can order following clinic visit
• Discuss with IR regarding the need for scheduling anesthesia support

TIMING / BED REST AFTER PROCEDURE

• Some procedures will be outpatient, some will require overnight observation

ANTICOAGULATION/ANTIPLATELETS

• Anti-platelet and anti-coagulant medications:  Do not stop

LOCATION OF THE PROCEDURE

• CT
• Need to have US machine available in the room (please include on scheduling notes)

PREOPERATIVE ORDERS

• CBC, PT/INR, PTT, Chem basic
• IV with NS (Normal Saline) 75ml/hr

FOLLOW UP

• Call 1-2 days after procedure.
• Clinic visit 1-2 weeks
• Follow up Imaging:  CT or MRI in 4-6 weeks followed by clinic visit
